Update 12/25/21

Merry Christmas, everyone! It’s so overwhelming to see how much we’ve already raised in just a couple of days. This fundraiser is on for 30 days only but I have a feeling that it’ll become a long term effort.

I spoke with my mom today and we actually had a clear connection which is rare. We both realized that it might be that way because not many people in the area are using their phone data because their area still doesn’t have electricity. It was early in the morning when I spoke with her and she said that since their generator was on, a lot of their employees were charging devices while they could. Electricity and clean water in their area are basically worth their weight in gold right now. I asked my mom to try and document all that she could so I could share any information here.

I added $420 (Thank you Connie Chen, Chrizle Hillis, Richelle Menez, and Xandra McQueen) to the donation page just a bit ago. By the time I finished the last transaction, I realized that I was skipping over the comment part and could have put people’s names here so I just wanted to make sure I noted here regarding those transactions on the page. It was good for me to be able to add these transactions though because I realized that non-PayPal users can simply use a credit card to make a transaction without logging in.

So please know: If you are considering donating and don’t have a PayPal, you can simply use your credit card. Also, if you are looking to use Venmo, you can do that by finding me on there - @mrskmae, or by scanning the code in the image.
