Delivery Update 1/28/22

I know this is crazy, but I realized a whole 9 months later that I missed an opportunity to update about a delivery we made on January 28th earlier this year. And it was a pretty massive one.

Delivery #7 on 1/28/2022 -
Out of the 80 bottles we did earlier that month on January 2nd, we were able to have 60 returned to us. What that meant was that we were able to save a lot of money on our side and we didn’t need to pay for 60 bottles for the next delivery. These 60 bottles would just need to be refilled instead of purchased and refilled. So we refilled 60 containers and added 100 new ones. This was a massive 160 container delivery.

To refill 60 containers and buy 100 new ones (and fill them), it cost 15,900 php, which was around $312 USD. I sent $320 (total of $328 with transaction fees for sending it over) to my parents to cover the costs.

Bless their hearts, my parents had their entire crew working so hard to make sure everyone in the community could get a container or 2. They didn’t document as much on this delivery as we would have hoped, but I also feel kind of awkward having them hold people for ransom for a photo in exchange for a container… Just feels kind of cringe, tbh. All we really care about is that these people get what they need.
